Pilate also wrote a sign and put it on the execution stake.
It was written:
Yeshua (Jesus) the Nazarene, the king of the Jews (John 19:19).
What did Yeshua/ Jesus command us to do ??
What did Yeshua/ Jesus promise us ??
Each one of these verses were in the past
and are still very very special to me;
on my long long way to home…
I press on toward the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God
in Messiah Yeshua. (Philippians 3:14)
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)
- Born again:
“Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit,
That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do not marvel that I said to you,
‘You must be born again.’ (John 3:5-7)
- Follow Me:
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. (John 14:15)
- Honor the Law:
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.
I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. (Matthew 5:17)
- Choose the narrow gate:
“Enter by the narrow gate;
for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction,
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life,
and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)
- Beware of false prophets:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? (Matthew 7:15-16)
- Love God:
And you shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart,
with all your soul,
with all your mind,
and with all your strength.’ (Mark 12:30)
- Wait God`s power:
Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you;
but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until
you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)
He who believes and is baptized will be saved;
but he who does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16)
- Feed and tend My sheep:
He said to him,
“Feed My lambs.”
He said to Him,
“Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
He said to him,
“Tend My sheep.” (John 21:15-16)
- Practice secret disciplines:
“Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven.
Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do.
For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
“Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance.
For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
(Matthew 6:1-8, 14-21)
- Seek God’s Kingdom:
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)
- Fear God:
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Do not be greedy:
And He said to them,
“Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” (Luke 12:15)
- Be a servant:
And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them,
“If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.” (Mark 9:35)
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)
- Honor marriage:
“Have you not read that He who created them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4-6)
- Do not lust:
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)
- Judge righteous judgment:
Do not judge according to appearance,
but judge with righteous judgment.” (John 7:24)
“Ask, and it will be given to you;
seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing,
you will receive.”
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you,
you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you. (Matthew 7:7, 21:22/ John 15:7)
- Yeshua/ Jesus is with us:
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name,
I am there in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19,20)
- Blessed are you:
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven,
for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)
- My peace:
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
- Always remember Yeshua/ Jesus:
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it,
and gave it to the disciples and said,
“Take, eat; this is My body.”
“Drink from it, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant,
which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew 26:26-28)
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you:
that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,
“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you;
do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
