A Beautiful Fairytale Called Christmas(s)

Xmass lie

The manmade traditional Christian Christmas tale

Regrettably, the birth of our Messiah is later overlaid with so much tradition

and legend about Christmas that it’s hard to let the biblical text speak for itself.

One of the ancient world’s most popular celebrations- a festival that originated

in sun worship and honoring pagan gods- was renamed and reborn as traditional

Christianity’s most popular celebration Christmas.

Regrettably, nearly all Christians today observe Christmas and other

non-biblical holidays without ever giving them a 2nd thought.

christmas
We are commanded  to remember Yeshua`s (Jesus`) death and resurrection.

The more I began to compare biblical truths versus traditions,

the more I realized that none of the disciples and early followers of

Yeshua (Jesus) celebrated any of these holidays that we have today in our calendar.

How about you ??

Are your beliefs and worship firmly grounded in biblical truth-

or in ancient fables ??

The battle that Yeshua (Jesus) was constantly engaged in with the pharisees

was the age-long battle of Yahweh our God’s Word versus the traditions of men.

We cannot be like the pharisees and follow man-made traditions…

The Old Testament contains about 300-400 prophesies of Yeshua (Jesus).

The Old Testament contains no prophesies of Christmas at all.

The New Testament contains 2 narrations of Yeshua`s (Jesus`) birth-

Matthew 1–2 & Luke 1–2.

The New Testament contains no narrations of Christmas at all.

The typical story we hear repeated is:

“It’s about 2000 years ago, the evening of December 25.

Mary rides into Bethlehem on a donkey, urgently needing to deliver her baby.

Although it’s an emergency, all the innkeepers turn them away.

So they deliver baby Jesus in a stable.

Then angels sing to the shepherds.

Afterwards, they all join 3 kings with camels in worshipping the quiet newborn.”

In contrast to this pic, the magi did not arrive until sometime after Messiah`s presentation
in the Temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) –> Luke 2:22-39.

This embellish tale is entirely wrong with many inclusions

The events surrounding the birth of our Messiah have been retold so so so so

many times and in so so so so many ways- in plays, poetry, books and movies-

that most people have a distorted view of the true events in the Bible without

any inclusions.

After all, the only accurate record is found in the Holy Bible,

Yahweh our God’s Word.

Deuteronomy 4-2 Do Not Add To Or Take Away From The Word Of God blue

Did Miryam (Mary) ride a donkey to Bethlehem ??

Perhaps, but there are various other possibilities.

The Bible doesn’t say how she got to Bethlehem.

It only says that she came with Joseph.

Luke 2:4-5

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea,

to Bethlehem the town of David,

because he belonged to the house and line of David.

5 He went there to register with Mary,

who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Aiheeseen liittyvä kuva

Did Miryam (Mary) arrive in Bethlehem the night she gave birth ??

The Bible does not suggest this.

They could have arrived a week or more earlier.

Yahweh our God’s Word simply states in Luke:

Luke 2:6:

6 While Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem,

the time came for her to have the baby.

Arriving in Bethlehem well before her due date would make more sense.

Luke 2:6

Did Joseph or Miryam (Mary) talk to any innkeepers ??

Perhaps, but there is no solid, biblical reason to believe that they did.

The Greek word here is kataluma.

It means a place of rest, usually a guest room or chamber or lodging place.

Interestingly, the Arabic and Syriac versions of the New Testament,

which reflect more of a Middle Eastern context,

have never translated kataluma as meaning an inn,

but instead as a guest room.

This translation of the word kataluma as inn is a product of our Western heritage.

Still, many English Bible translations use the word guest room instead of inn.

A reconstructed Israelite house.
The Greek word translated “inn” in Luke 2:7 actually refers to a guest room like this one from a reconstructed Israelite house, which doubled as a storage room when not housing visitors.

Luke 2:7

7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.

She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger,

because there was no guest room available for them.

Although innkeepers play a prominent part in many Christmas plays,

no innkeeper is actually mentioned in the biblical record of Messiah`s birth.

Furthermore, it is likely that Miryam (Mary) and Joseph actually stayed

in a house or home with relatives, friends or  acquaintances,

not behind some kind of Bible-times hotel or hostel.

Was Yeshua (Jesus) born in a stable ??

Or a barn ??

Or a cave ??

The Bible does not mention any of these 3 places in connection

with Messiah`s birth, only a manger.

The Bible simply reports that they laid Yeshua (Jesus) in a manger

because there was no room for him in the guest room.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle kataluma meaning
A manger is a long trough from which horses or cattle feed.

The 3 other times this word was used in the New Testament,

it is translated guest room- not inn.

Luke 22:11

11 Then you shall say to the master of the house,

‘The Teacher says to you,

“Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”

Mark 14:14

14 Say to the owner of the house he enters,

‘The Teacher asks:

Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’

Philemon 22

22 But, meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me,

for I trust that through your prayers I shall be granted to you.

The Greek word pandokheion (Luke 10:34) means an inn.

Luke 10:34

34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds,

pouring on oil and wine;

and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn,

and took care of him.

Most likely Yeshua (Jesus) just was born in the house of relatives,

but outside under the normal living and guest quarters.

Kataluma Israelite home

“Away in a manger the baby awakes, but little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes.”

Although this is part of a beautiful song,

we cannot be sure that Yeshua (Jesus) did not cry.

The Bible does not report this.

Did angels sing to the shepherds outside of Bethlehem ??

Perhaps but the Bible doesn’t specifically say that the angels sang.

It says that first an angel appeared and spoke and then appeared

“a multitude of the heavenly host praising God”.

Luke 2:9,13

9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them,

and the glory of the Lord shone around them,

and they were greatly afraid.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of

the heavenly host praising God and saying:

Kuvahaun tulos haulle Luke 2:14

Were angels present at the birth ??

It seems logical to assume that they were, however, the Bible does not report it.

There is no evidence that angels were visible to Miryam (Mary) and Joseph

at this time.

Did 3 kings riding camels come to Yeshua`s (Jesus’) birth ??

The Bible does not say that any kings or camels visited young Yeshua (Jesus).

It does report wise men (magi) came, but it does not say how many.

None of the early church fathers, suggested the magi were kings.

Since the word magi used in the Bible is plural, there were apparently at least 2,

and there could have been more- even several more.

The Bible simply mentions 3 costly gifts they presented:

gold, frankincense and myrrh.

However, this does not necessarily indicate the number of magi.

Frankincense and Myrrh

The Magis

There is also no proof of what country these men came from.

Also, the wise men clearly did not visit Yeshua (Jesus) when he was still lying in

the manger, as is commonly shown on greeting cards and in plays.

The magi did not arrive until sometime after Messiah`s presentation

in the Temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) –> Luke 2:22-39.

At this time, the Bible calls Yeshua (Jesus) a child, not a baby.

It is possible that little Yeshua (Jesus) was walking and talking by then.

Based on the calculations of King Herod and the magi,

Yeshua (Jesus) was approximately 2 years old.

Matthew 2:16
Massacre of the Innocents

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men,

was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the

male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts,

from two years old and under,

according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.

Was Yeshua (Jesus) born on December 25- or in December at all ??

It is extremely improbable and the answer is no.

The Bible does not specify a date or month.

One problem with December is that it would be unusual for shepherds

to be abiding in the field at this very cold, rainy and sometimes even snowy

time of year when fields are unproductive-

and sleeping with sheep outside.

Miryam & Elizabeth

Miryam conceived when her cousin Elizabeth was in her 6th month of pregnancy

(Luke 1:24–26).

Elizabeth probably conceived early in the 5th month of the Hebrew calendar

(Av/ early July).

This is likely since the angel Gabriel appeared to her husband Zachariah

while he was serving in the Temple as a priest in the division of Abijah

(Luke 1:5) and advised him that Elizabeth would become pregnant (Luke 1:11–24).

The Abijah served during the last two weeks of the 4th month of the Hebrew

calendar (Tammuz), which is about late June

(1 Chronicles 24:1-19 & 27:2/ Exodus 12:1,2/ Esther 3:7).

Aiheeseen liittyvä kuva
Hebrew/ Jewish and our months

And the Bible says that after Zechariah came home from his service

(in early Av/ July), Elizabeth conceived (Luke 1:23–25).

9 months of pregnancy and another 6 months of Miryam’s pregnancy

(15 months total) brings us to the 7th month of the Hebrew calendar (Tishrei),

during which falls Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles).

Through these clues we can come to a fairly educated conclusion that Yeshua (Jesus)

may have indeed been born during the season of Sukkot, also known as the Feast

of Tabernacles, which occurs in late September or early October.

Yeshua (Jesus) was born most likely on the 1st day of Sukkot.

8 days after His birth, the Child was circumcised and named Yeshua (Jesus).

This was the name the angel had given him before his mother became pregnant.

Luke 2:21

21 Eight days after his birth, the child was circumcised

and named Yeshua (Jesus).

This was the name the angel had given him before

his mother became pregnant.

Winter in Israel

The normal practice was and is to keep the flocks in the fields from spring to autumn.

From autumn to spring there is nothing left to eat for the flocks;

all is already eaten or sun burned and the land is very very dry.

In autumn it`s the time to the cold and rainy winter in Israel to begin.

With a rainy season, sometimes it even rains snow.

December is the coldest month in Israel.

Also, in winter would likely be an especially difficult time for pregnant Miryam (Mary)

to travel the long distance from Nazareth to Bethlehem

(120-145 kilometers/ 75-90 miles).

The census would have been impossible in winter-

a whole population could not then be put in motion.

Nazareth Betlehem

The Feast of Tabernacles

A more probable time for our Messiah`s birth would be late September or

early October just before the rainy and cold season begins in Israel.

It happens to be the time of the annual Feast of Tabernacles, when such travel was

commonly accepted and possible to make.

Thus, it is rather commonly believed in Christianity that Yeshua`s (Jesus’) birth was

in Autumn but followers of Yeshua (Jesus) know that fact.

Sukkot

Tabernacle

The tabernacle was considered to be the earthly dwelling place of

Yahweh our God in the Old Testament .

Yahweh our God instructed Moses to tell the Israelites to build

a sanctuary where Yahweh our God may dwell,

specifying exactly how the tabernacle should be designed.

The tabernacle brought Yahweh our God to the earth.

Yahweh our God was no longer in the heavens.

Yahweh our God was here in the tabernacle, tent of meeting.

When our Messiah was born, the Word was made flesh.

The Word became flesh and tabernacled among us.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle John 1:14

John 1:14
The Word Becomes Flesh

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us*,

and we beheld His glory,

the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,

* εσκηνωσεν  Greek word eskēnōsen means:

1) to fix one’s tabernacle, have one’s tabernacle,

abide or live in a tabernacle or tent, tabernacle

2) to dwell

Dwelt among us is more literally “in the midst of us.”

Yahweh our God truly came to dwell in our midst, even as He dwelt in the midst

of Israel in the Tabernacle and later in their Temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem).

Exodus 40:34-35
The Glory of the Lord

34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting,

and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because

the cloud had settled on it,

and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

1 Kings 8:10-12

10 When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place,

the cloud filled the Temple of the Lord.

11 And the priests could not perform their service because of

12 Then Solomon said,

“The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;

John 1:14

Christianizing Saturnalia

So, accordingly our Messiah was born in autumn,

then His conception took place in late December.

25th December is the darkest time of the year and the time of the pagan Saturnalia.

And also the time when the sun is at its greatest distance from the Holy Land.

The word Christmas actually is a shortened form of

“the mass of Christ”, “Christ’s mass” or “Christ mass”-

instituted by the Roman Catholic Church and continued by many

Protestant churches.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle truth of christ mass

More Roman Catholic heresies

The Roman Catholic Church declares the Christ mass to be a celebration of  the

Eucharist and a sacrifice in which Yeshua (Jesus) is physically sacrificed

each time as the wafer and wine actually are transformed in transubstantiation

whereby a priest prays over the wafer and wine and it is supernaturally turned

into the body and blood of  Yeshua (Jesus).

The Roman Catholic Church also teaches that this unbloody sacrifice is supposed

to pay for the sins of both the living and dead.

The Roman Catholic Church also teaches that it is necessary for salvation to

partake in the Sacrament of the Eucharist (communion).

What a blasphemy and profane teaching !!!!

Unfortunately and absolutely being not only blasphemous fables and

dangerous deceits these Catholic teachings are just non-biblical religious

Catholic man-made doctrines.

Hebrews 9:22

22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood,

and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

Sun worshipping

In the Bible nobody celebrates birthdays.

In fact, the highest of all holidays in the Satanic religion is

the date of one’s own birthday- the other 2 are Walpurgisnacht and Halloween.

Yeshua (Jesus) did not tell us to remember or celebrate His birthday either.

Nobody in the Bible ever kept Christmas.

The Bible records nothing about the disciples, the apostles or early followers of

Yeshua (Jesus) observing Christmas.

Romans 1:16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel,

because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes:

first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Instead of the Gospel “first to the Jew”, the Christian Churches tell about Christmas(s) & Santa Claus to the Jews in the Old City of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), Israel.

History shows that Christmas wasn’t celebrated until hundreds of years after our

Messiah lived on earth, and long after the apostles had passed from the scene.

You cannot even find Christmas in the Bible.

So, why do many Christians yet celebrate Yeshua`s (Jesus`) birthday ??

So, why do many Christians yet celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December,

if that is not when Yeshua (Jesus) was born ??

Because during the 4th Century the Roman Catholic Church began to adopt many of

the pagan practices while inventing a new holiday in an attempt to convert

people to the new religion Christianity.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle catholic sun worshipping
When an obelisk is placed in front of a temple, it designates it as a place of sun worship.

Christianizing December 25

The date was chosen by the Roman Catholic Church.

Because Rome dominated most of the Christian world for centuries,

the date became tradition throughout most of Christendom.

The original significance of December 25 is that it was a well-known

festival day (the Midwinter Feast) celebrating the annual return of the sun-

in other words worshipping the sun gods.

Basically it’s the same old sun god that represents Baal that we read about

in the Old Testament.

Mithra
Christmas is but a relic of the worship of the pagan god known by the Persians and Romans as Mithra or Mithras, relabeled with a Christian name.

Mithra

The Roman Catholic Church borrowed Christmas directly from its heathen

formidable rival- the Mithraic religion.

The sun god Mithra occupied a prominent position in all forms of paganism

not only in ancient Rome but also in Greek and Egypt.

The worship of Mithra, the Persian sun god, was very very popular in the

Roman Empire and later in the whole Greco-Roman world.

Practically, the early Roman Catholic Church made the Christian religion by

renaming the Mithraic religion anew.

The birth of our Messiah was assigned the date of the winter solstice 25 December.

On this day, as the sun began its return to the northern skies,

the pagan devotees of Mithra celebrated the birthday of the invincible sun.

Christmas originated at a time when the cult of the sun was particularly

strong at Rome.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle Ancient Mid Winter Feast

Once given a Christian basis to Christmas, the festival became fully established in

Europe with many of its pagan elements undisturbed.

It was only in the 4th century that 25 December was officially decreed to be

the birthday of our Messiah, and it was another 500 years before the term

Midwinter Feast was abandoned in favour of the word Christmas.

Even then Christmas continued to show many features inherited from the Saturnalia.

We cannot find in the Bible any warrant whatever for observing any day as the

birthday of our Messiah in the Bible.

Sun worshipping

Winter solstice

December 21 is the winter solstice- the birthday of the Sun.

It is the shortest day of the year and thus a key date on the calendar.

December 25 is the first day that ancients could clearly note that the days were

definitely getting longer and the sunlight was returning.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle winter solstice in southern hemisphere

The Bible is the final authority always

So, why was December 25 chosen to remember Jesus Christ’s birth with a mass

or Communion supper ??

Since the Bible do not tell exactly the day or the year of Yeshua`s (Jesus`) birth,

the Roman Catholic Church felt free to chose this date.

The Roman Catholic Church wished to replace the pagan festival with a

Christian holy day (holiday)- maybe so.

Or the Roman Catholic Church just wished to bring Saturnalia in Christianity.

Maybe the psychology was that is easier to take away an unholy but traditional

festival from the population, when you can replace it with a good new one.

Otherwise, the Roman Catholic Church would have left a void where there was a

long-standing tradition, and risked producing a discontented population and a rapid

return to the old ways.

The various misconceptions about Messiah`s birth illustrate the need to always test

everything we hear against Yahweh our God’s Word, no matter what the source !!

The Bible is the final authority always.

The Feast of Dedication is Hanukkah in Hebrew.

The Feast of Dedication is in the Bible but it is not in the Feasts of Yahweh

(Leviticus 23).

John 10:22-23

22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.

23 And Jesus walked in the temple, in Solomon’s porch.

The Feast of Hanukkah begins on the 25th of Kislev (November/ December).

It is celebrated annually by the Jews for 8 days to commemorate the

cleansing and the rededication during the 2nd century BC of the

Temple in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) after it had been desecrated

by the Syrians under Antiochus IV Epiphanes.

The restoration of the worship of Yahweh was effected by the

Hasmonean Judah Maccabee about 165 BC, 3 years after its defilement.

You can read more of  Jews that had risen up against their Greek-Syrian

oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt in 1 Maccabees & 2 Maccabees

in some Bible translations and they are part of the apocryphal books

you can find just in some Bibles.

Yeshua`s (Jesus`) death and resurrection is a formidable miracle

Despite human misconceptions, the actual facts about Yeshua (Jesus)

are more marvelous than words can express.

There are hundreds of prophecies about Messiah in the Old Testament.

He was indeed born of a virgin in the city of Bethlehem exactly as prophecied many

many years before.

Yeshua (Jesus) was conceived in Miryam (Mary), not by man but by the Holy Spirit.

”The God was manifested in flesh”- in a human form- to die as a willing sacrifice

in payment for the sins of mankind.

He did this to provide eternal salvation as a free gift to all who will accept it and obey

and follow Him.

25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying,

“This cup is the new covenant in My blood.

This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
