Do You Have A Religious Spirit ??

3 Abrahamic

The 3 Abrahamic religions are:

  1. Judaism
  2. Islam
  3. Christianity

Warning: All 3 claims to be the one and only right religion.

There is no biblical Judaism and religious Judaism-

there is only one religion Judaism.

There is no radical Islam and loving peaceful Islam-

there is only one religion Islam.

There is no biblical Christianity and religious Christianity-

there is only one religion Christianity.

Unfortynately, all Christians are inside the religion Christianity regardless of what they themselves may think or feel.

Galatians 1:10
Acts 4:19-20
19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

What they have in common ??

  • The “holy man or men”

Rabbi, Imam or Pope.

  • The “holy place (or places)”

Synagogue, Mosque or Church.

  • The “holy days”

Once or twice a week, sometimes more often.

  • The “holy book, usually several books”

For example the Bible but just a book among other books.

  • religious “lectures or teaching” or “events”

1- 2 or some more speak in the front and everybody else listen or sleep in the benches.

Leaders, not servants.

  • thrive (or beg) your money

Offertory, tithes, even taxes and so on.

  • many traditions and doctrines of demons

that you cannot find in the Bible.

Unholy father

Yeshua (Jesus) did not come to institute a new religion,

neither did Peter.

The Romans created a new religion called Christianity.

Follow

There was a time when I had to ask myself these following questions…

For me they were very very good questions and still are.

If my questions are helpful to you; be blessed in the name of Yeshua (Jesus) !!

Could there however be biblical Christianity and religious Christianity ??

No.

If you are in a religion, already that is non- biblical.

Yeshua (Jesus) is not inside religions.

Yeshua (Jesus) is steeply across from religions-

including Christianity.

Matthew 23:13-15

13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. 15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Love means not

Do you have a religious spirit ??

Yeshua (Jesus) opened the door to us to have a direct relationship with God.

Direct relationship with God with the only one mediator Yeshua (Jesus) himself.

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Unfortunately, it is very easy to unwittingly replace this precious relationship with God with a religious spirit and a lifestyle or attitude, which is the default position of sinful human nature.

Do you judge other people by their appearance ??

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Hebrews 13:2

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

Enough said.

Do you try to earn God’s love and salvation ??

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it isthe gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Enough said.

Do you try to conform to outward holiness without inward transformation ??

Psalms 51:6

6 You want me to be completely loyal,
so put true wisdom deep inside of me.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Jude 19
…and do not have the Spirit.

The Scriptures teach us that God is more concerned with cleansing the inward man than our outward man.

Those that only have a form of godliness without inward transformation deny His power.

Yeshua (Jesus) strongly rebuked those who merely attempted to cleanse the outer man without allowing God to deal with the heart.

Practically followers of Yeshua (Jesus) continually grow in obedience, love, joy, and peace, becoming more and more like Yeshua (Jesus)- while Christians continually grow in wordly freedom with this world and liberty to keep on sinning.

Sad but true.

Are you critical of other people’s walks with God ??

I have noticed that the more religious a person is, the more hypocritical and critical they are of other believers.

Religious people generally don’t understand grace and walk in self-condemnation and they are also equally hard on other people.

Galatians 2:11-13

11 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; 12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

Gl 3:28
Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Is your closest relationship with God based only on going to a church (building) once or twice a week ??

Religious people are not only superficial with God but with others as well.

They usually wait people that need salvation to come inside their church (building) instead of going out to the streets.

To base on or build a church (building) is non- biblical.

Fill the heaven, not the church buildings.

Acts 7:47-49

47 But Solomon built Him a house.

48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says:

49 ‘Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
What house will you build for Me? says the Lord,
Or what is the place of My rest?

Joshua-1-9

Do you perform biblical duties but have no real passion or hunger for God or Yeshua (Jesus) ??

Put your hand on your heart.

Is God and Yeshua (Jesus) number ones to you ??

Jesus Follow Me

Or is your campfire weakening ??

Or is it quenching ??

Revelation 3:15

15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

Quench not the Spirit
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Do you desire position and honor in the Christian churches (buildings) more than to honor God ??

Those with a religious spirit hinge their life and identity upon their outward man.

Hence, they are drawn to having recognition and titles in the church world.

If they cannot legitimately get a ministerial title from their local church, they will hook up with an online course or other entity that will give them some kind of badge or card signifying they are at least a minister or chaplain.

The true followers of Yeshua (Jesus) are simply followers or disciples.

You cannot become more holy if you had an earthly magnificent title.

We can buy a snobbish suit, a silk dress shirt with a tie, fancy shoes and an expensive wristwatch to start playing preacher-

but in the God`s eyes we are always nude… always.

Yeshua (Jesus) did glorify only God.

John 5:41,44, 8:50, 12:43

41 “I do not receive honor from men.

44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?

50 And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges.

43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John 14:13,14

Is your identity rooted in a lifestyle of Christianity instead of in Christ (Messiah) ??

(Mature) followers of Yeshua (Jesus) receive their main identity from the Bible and in the fact they are children of God and Yeshua`s (Jesus`s) soldiers and servants whereas religious people receive their main identity in Christianity and other Christians and the things they attempt to do for their church organisation.

1 John 3:1

1 See how glorious a love the Father has given us, that we should be called God’s children—and so we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

2 Timothy 2:3

Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of  Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ).

Armor of God

Do you know about the truth of biblical Yeshua (Jesus) or Christian Jesus ??

Have you read from the Bible about Jewish Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) ??

Have your read prophesies from the Old Testament of Jewish Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) ??

Or have you been schooled about another Christian Jesus who has Greco- Roman roots from 300- 400 AD ??

Acts 10:45-48

45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.

Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

Isaiah 53:5

Do you project righteousness but are you inwardly filled with anger and resentment and envy and other negative feelings ??

Religious people know the entire Christian lingo, know how to act and project themselves in certain settings and use this act to gain influence in church (building) circles. However, projecting ourselves to create a Christian persona will not last long. Those who depend upon this superficial personality projection are merely being religious and will not have the sustainability to deal with the hurt, pain and disappointments of life. This results in a duality in which they appear righteous but inside are filled with anger, resentment and envy.

They do not have peace in their life and heart.

John 21:15-17

15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.

John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
