The Great Tribulation

15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.

24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.

27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

28 For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

Mark 13:14-23

The Great Tribulation

14 “So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

15 Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

16 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

17 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

18 And pray that your flight may not be in winter.

19 For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.

20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

21 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it.

22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

23 But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.

Matthew 24:29-31

Matthew 24:29-31

The Coming of the Son of Man

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mark 13:24-27

The Coming of the Son of Man

24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

25 the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.

Matthew 24:36

Yeshua (Jesus) tells us:

  • these things happen after the tribulation
  • Yeshua (Jesus) will come from the clouds only once- not twice, not secretly
  • there will not be any kind of rapture along with resurrection
  • there will not be 2 resurrections- only 1
  • there will be only one resurrection- no secret rapture
  • before 1 000 year reign

Yeshua Lamb and Lion
Yeshua (Jesus) came the 1st time as a perfect sacrifice for sin and He will come the 2nd time as an invincible King.

The term “rapture” is used nowhere in the Bible

I use the term “rapture” meaning all different kinds of “rapture theologies”-

because they all are false.

The Christian false teaching the “rapture”- often called “the blessed hope”- is more hoax than hope and it is absolutely not biblical.

It is the teaching of a pre-tribulation, pre-Antichrist, pre-mark of the Beast rapture of the Christian Church to heaven.

It sounds nice and is very pleasing to the flesh, but undermines God’s purposes for His end-time Congregation.

It has created a people who are not prepared to face persecution and the difficult times ahead.

It has also robbed a sense of urgency for believers to get themselves ready to give answers to the unsaved.

True followers of Yeshua (Jesus) should want to be here as long as possible in order to win as many to Yeshua (Jesus) as possible.

Early Church Fathers
John Nelson Darby, Cyrus Scofield, Dwight L. Moody, Hal Lindsey, Jim Jenkins and Tim LaHaye went astray and led and still lead many astray.

Darby & Scofield & some others

The “rapture” doctrine (1830) is quite new.

Actually, the only doctrine more recent is the invention of the sinner’s prayer for salvation (also not in the Bible !!) by Billy Sunday in 1930, which was made popular by Billy Graham in 1935.

British John Nelson Darby, a Plymouth Brethren founder and preacher, began to promote the “rapture” doctrine in the 1830s after traveling to northern Scotland to meet with Margaret McDonald, a woman who had a “vision” during a serious illness.

This “vision” convinced her that Christ would come in two stages.

Darby in turn influenced an American lawyer and minister Cyrus Scofield, who edited an infamous, early study Bible named after himself at the beginning of the 20th century-with lots of his personal addings and notes.

So, Darby’s pre-tribulational view of the rapture was then picked up by Cyrus Scofield, who taught the view in the footnotes of his Scofield Reference Bible, which was widely distributed in England and America.

Many Protestants who read the Scofield Reference Bible uncritically accepted what its footnotes said and adopted the “rapture” doctrine, even though no Christian had heard of it in the previous 1800 years of Christian Church history.

Oddly, the “rapture” requires a two-stage return of Yeshua (Jesus)-

and the 1st return secretly.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle Revelation 1:7
Yeshua (Jesus) does not come very secretly !!

However, Yeshua (Jesus) Himself gave no hint that He would come twice.

Nor does the New Testament teach that Yeshua (Jesus) will come twice.

Blindly, both Darby and Scofield claimed that the “day of Christ” refers to the rapture and that “the day of the Lord” refers to the actual second coming several years after the rapture; and even Dwight L. Moody went astray later.

Still, this false teaching the “rapture” is widely taught and believed in Christianity today.

It was popularized in the 1970s by Hal Lindsey’s writings and more recently by Jim Jenkins and Tim LaHaye in their fictional books and films.

Yeshua (Jesus) is with us until the end of the world

Kuvahaun tulos haulle Matthew 28:20
Yeshua (Jesus) did promise us:
“I am with you always, even to the end of the age”. (Matthew 28:20b)
– even in tribulations.

Now why would Yeshua (Jesus) reassure us that He would be with us until the end of the world, if we were to be raptured away before the end of the world ??

The”rapture” teaching is only a false one invented by satan to cause God’s chosen people to be unprepared for the time of trouble ahead, that we will go through.

The”rapture” teaching also gives Christians a false hope.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle Doktriini
Regretfully not nearly all…

Nowhere in the Bible are we promised an escape from the tribulations while the heathen and all of creation suffer in agony-  not even remotely.

Instead, everywhere in the Bible God’s chosen people are called to endure suffering.

Christians & China

Many Christians in China had been given this the “rapture” false  teaching.

The Christians were told:

“Don’t worry, before the tribulation comes you will be translated – raptured.”

When the communists took over and began to persecute the Christians, it was thought that the tribulation had come- and a terrible persecution really had come.

Many Christians expected to be raptured out by Yeshua (Jesus).

When escape did not come, many were disillusioned, and they were totally unprepared for the difficult times that were to follow.

Millions of Christians were tortured to death.

When forced to, how many did relinquish their faith and even deny Yeshua (Jesus) ??

This false teaching had given them a false hope.

Philippians 1:29
Philippians 1:29
29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Messiah not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

Later a Bishop from China said sadly:

“We have failed.

We should have made the people strong for persecution, rather than telling them Yeshua (Jesus) would come first.

Tell the people how to be strong in times of persecution, how to stand when the tribulation comes– to stand and not faint.”

What’s happening in the Middle East and North Africa now ??

2 Timothy 3:12-13

12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse,

deceiving and being deceived.

This problem exists even today

A majority of today`s Christians believe in the “rapture” false teaching based only on their feelings, that God would never let His children go through the tribulation.

Therefore there must be some kind of “rapture” before tribulations.

There are many passages in the Bible indicating God’s protective hand on believers during the last days.

What’s happening in the Middle East and North Africa ??

Christians are being slaughtered if they will not renounce the name of Yeshua (Jesus).

This will continue to increase as the enemy grows more bold in these last days.

Kuvahaun tulos haulle John 17:15
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

I dare to say, the “rapture” doctrine invites Christians to be spectators while the world goes to hell.

The”rapture” rescue hope has made Christians defeatist.

If Christians suppose they are going to be caught out of the world at any time, there is not much point in trying to build the Kingdom and saving others from hell-

yet this is what Yeshua (Jesus) commanded His followers to do.

Prove all things

Last day

Shortly:

  • Eternal life is given on the last day.
  • The resurrection happens on the last day.
  • Judgment is given on the last day.

John 6:40,11:24,12:48

40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

False prophets
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect/ chosen ones.

Matthew 24:9-13

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Mark 13:12-13

12 Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.

But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Mark 13:13

Endure to the end

So, your salvation depends on enduring till the end.

Enduring of what ??

The tribulations.

So, how could the “rapture” be true ??

Think about that…

Matthew 7:15
Jude 19
19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

The 3rd Temple

The Holy Temple in Yerushalayim/ Jerusalem was never simply a building or structure, but an earthly dwelling place for the Divine Presence of God-

unlike churches, synagogues and mosques.

Not only are the exiles of Israel returning to the Promised Land, but preparations to build the 3rd Temple are progressing through the efforts of the Temple Institute and the Temple Mount Faithful Movement.

3rd Temple

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

The Great Apostasy

1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,

not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

Daniel, Yeshua (Jesus), the Anti-Messiah, and the 3rd Temple

In the prophetic writings of the Book of Daniel and the New Testament, we find significant details about the role of a rebuilt Temple in the end times.

Both Daniel and Yeshua (Jesus) tell us that the Anti-Messiah will defile the 3rd Temple before the return of the true Messiah.

Matthew 24:15-16

15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),

16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

The coming of the man of sin is the beginning of the final tribulations.

Yeshua (Jesus) tells us to “flee to the mountains“-

not that believers will be taken away here.

If the rapture happened before the coming destruction,

why would Yeshua (Jesus) tell us to flee to the mountains ??

Matthew 24:17-21

17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matthew 24:21-22

For the elect sake “those days will be shortened”.

And after the tribulations the last trumpet is blown and Yeshua (Jesus) descends and His elect (faithful small group) are taken out of the world.

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

It is impossible to survive tribulations without the Holy Spirit.

Acts 7:59

59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying,

“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

Philippians 1:21

21 For to me, to live is Messiah and to die is gain.

Matthew 7:13-14
Luke 13:23-24
23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?”
And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Following Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ)

Revelation 20:4

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Sufferings will come for following Yeshua (Jesus).

Yesterday, today and tomorrow-

and especially during the tribulations.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another”.

Take heed that no one deceives you

Matthew 24:3-14

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.
