Blood

Exodus 12:13-14

13 Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are.

And when I see the blood, I will pass over you;

and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

14 ‘So this day shall be to you a memorial;

and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations.

You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.

Yeshua`s (Jesus`) words.

Passover or Easter ??

For the first 300 years also the Gentile followers of Yeshua (Jesus) kept the Passover.

At the Council of Antioch in 345 AD, celebrating the Passover was banned by

Roman Emperor Constantine the Great.

One of the earliest entrances of sun worship into the Christian churches was

through the spring pagan festival celebrated in honor of Eostre.

Old English Eostre continues into modern English as Easter.

The festival honored a pagan goddess Ishtar.

Ishtar was a goddess of war and sexual love in Mesopotamian religion.

Ishtar is the Akkadian counterpart of the West Semitic goddess Astarte.

This spring festival eventually became the christianized festival of Easter,

including the sunrise services and not to forget eggs and rabbits-

both ancient pagan symbols of fertility.

The Council of Nicaea in 325 AD decreed that Easter should be observed

on the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox.

The Passover and Easter are usually at different time in Spring.

Greek word Πάσχα Paskha

The Greek word πάσχα Paskha is correctly translated as Passover 28 times and

only once as Easter (Acts 12:4) in the King James Version of the New Testament.

Just a mistranslation or made on purpose ??

The Greek word πάσχα Paskha is a transliteration of the Aramaic

word פסחא Pasha.

Passover in Hebrew is פסח Pesah.

In Latin Passover is Pascha, in Italian Pasqua, in Spanish Pascua,

in Portuguese Páscoa and in French Pâques- and so on.

As you can see, the roots of the word Easter are not in the words above,

but an Old English word Eostre became in modern English as Easter.

However, nearly all Bibles today translate correctly Passover in Acts 12:4.

Easter has nothing to do with our Messiah and the Passover.

Leviticus 23:5

5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover.

The Easter, Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday are not in the Bible-

so you can forget them and forget eggs and rabbits too.

The disciples or followers of Yeshua (Jesus) did not celebrate those pagan feasts-

really, why should you ??

Just remember Yeshua (Jesus) and what He did for me and you in one Passover.

John 10:11

11 I am the good shepherd.

The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

Hebrew calendar

Matthew 12:40

40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish,

so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

3 days & 3 nights

When was Yeshua (Jesus) crucified and resurrected ??

Did He really die on Good Friday and come back to life on Easter Sunday ??

Yeshua (Jesus) said He would be in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights.

How can you count that from Good Friday afternoon to Easter Sunday morning ??

This traditional view allows for Yeshua (Jesus) to have been entombed for only

a day and a half (1½ days).

Some believe that Yeshua`s (Jesus`) 3 days and 3 nights statement does not

require a literal span of 72 hours, reasoning that a part of a day can be reckoned

as a whole day.

Thus, since Yeshua (Jesus) died in the afternoon, they think the remainder of Friday

constituted the 1st day, Saturday the 2nd and part of Sunday the 3rd.

However, only 2 nights (Friday night and Saturday night) are accounted for in this

explanation and still 1 night is missing.

3 days and 3 nights from Good Friday leads us to next Monday late afternoon instead

of Easter Sunday…

Something is obviously wrong with the traditional view regarding when

Messiah was in the tomb.

Sign

In Matthew 12:38-42 some of the Scribes and Pharisees asked Yeshua (Jesus)

for a sign to prove He was the Messiah.

Yeshua (Jesus) specifies that His resurrection in 3 days and 3 nights will be the

only sign that He is the Messiah.

Jonah 1:17, to which Yeshua (Jesus) referred, states specifically that Jonah was

in the belly of the fish 3 days and 3 nights. We have no basis for thinking that

Yeshua (Jesus) meant only 2 nights and 1 day, plus parts of 2 days.

If Yeshua (Jesus) were in the tomb only from late Friday afternoon to early Sunday

morning, then the sign He gave that He was the prophesied Messiah was not fulfilled.

A lot can happen in 3 days & 3 nights…

The Shabbaths in the Bible

The weekly (7th-day) Shabbath begins on Friday at sunset and ends on Saturday

evening after nightfall.

In the Bible there are also the (add-on) High Shabbaths especially during the Feasts

and the Sabbath weeks and the Sabbath years.

The Passover and the Unleavened Bread are practically one 8-day Feast.

For example, this year the Passover begins sunset of Wednesday, April 8, 2020

and ends nightfall of Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Yeshua (Jesus) gave His life during the Passover week.

The Bible tells us about 2 Shabbaths that week:

weekly Shabbath and High Shabbath (the 1st day of Unleavened Bread).

Isaiah 53

Leviticus 23:4-8
The Passover and Unleavened Bread

4 ‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim

at their appointed times.

5 On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover.

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread

to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation;

you shall do no customary work on it.

8 But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days.

The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

The Breaking of Bread

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you:

that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said,

“Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you;

do this in remembrance of Me.”

25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying,

“This cup is the new covenant in My blood.

This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,

you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

2 Shabbaths in Yeshua`s (Jesus`) last days

Luke 23:50-54

50 Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member,

a good and just man.

51 He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea,

a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

52 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

53 Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen,

and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock,

where no one had ever lain before.

54 That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near.

John 19:31

31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain

on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a High Day), the Jews asked Pilate

that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

4991
Genesis 1:5
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Notice also:

When Yahweh our God created time, He first created night and then day.

Therefore, a biblical calendar date begins with the night beforehand.

While a day in the secular calendar begins and ends at midnight,

a biblical day goes from nightfall to nightfall.

Leviticus 23:32

32 It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls;

on the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening,

you shall celebrate your Sabbath.

1 day

2 Shabbaths

So, the weekly (7th-day) Shabbath (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset)

and the High Shabbath (also from evening to evening),

which was the 1st day of Unleavened Bread,

one of Yahweh our God’s annual High Sabbath days.

These annual High Shabbaths can also fall on weekdays other than the

regular weekly Sabbath day (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset).

So, there were 2 Shabbaths in Yeshua`s (Jesus`) last week.

Yeshua`s (Jesus`) last days & Passover week

Matthew 26:1-2

1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings,

that He said to His disciples,

2 “You know that after two days is the Passover,

and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

A lot really happened after Yeshua (Jesus) said this to His disciples.

A lot can happen in one Passover week.

A lot can happen in 3 days and 3 nights.

Isaiah 53
The Sin-Bearing Messiah

1 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

cropped-leao-de-juda

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

9 And they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Messiah Yeshua
Jesus Christ

Acts 1

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus,

of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 until the day in which He was taken up,

after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to

the apostles whom He had chosen,

3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by

many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and

speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

4 And being assembled together with them,

He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,

but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said,

“you have heard from Me;

5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized

with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him,

saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 And He said to them,

“It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father

has put in His own authority.

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;

and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,

and to the end of the earth.”

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched,

He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up,

behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,

11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?

This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven,

will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

My dear brother or sister

Love is not a feeling.

Love is works; love do works and love gets works done.

In the beginning, the congregants assembled in their homes-

do the same with other followers of Yeshua (Jesus) !!!!

Begin to love Yeshua (Jesus) this Passover all together.

Read out about Passover events in all 4 Gospels together.

Start the breaking of bread in your home(s) with a small amount of red wine-

do this together.

Eat roasted lamb, bitter herbs and the unleavened bread together.

Do all this in remembrance of Yeshua (Jesus).

Just because the rooster would not crow…
