We need the Torah !! I could keep on telling you these examples for hours- but I think I made my point. We need the Torah for our direction, instruction or teaching- meaning guidance and protection in our lives. It does not matter, what you think or feel. We need the Torah. If you like to do what ever you like, and the Torah is not written in your heart, ask youself: Am I saved ?? Or am I just a Christian pew warmer in a church ??
We can without fail call our earthly father as father. It is expected of us, by the 5th Command, to honour our parents everyday alike, irrespective of the circumstance. Yeshua (Jesus) harshly attacked a custom of the Jews, for they called the rabbis as fathers. He attacked similarly against all religious present-day Christian leaders too. We all have just One Heavenly Father and He is in heaven.
The Holy Convocations of Yahweh: When Yahweh says we are to celebrate His Feasts, He uses a Hebrew word that means appointed times or appointments. They are the Holy Convocations or Sacred Assemblies of Yahweh. There are 7 festivals that Yahweh prescribed in the Bible- 4 in the spring and 3 in the fall and the Shabbaths all year around. We can find them in the Leviticus 23.
We shall not throw the Julian/ Gregorian calendar away. But we need to learn God’s Calendar and use His days and ways to worship, honor and draw close to Him. It is the same Calendar which Yeshua (Jesus) used. The lack of knowledge of His calendar has led to so many misunderstandings and mistakes in our walk with Him.
There was a time in my life when I did not read the Bible very much. I was seeking Yeshua (Jesus) but in all the wrong places. I only visited different Christian religious events. They were very entertaining to spend my time- but the Bible were in bit part. Preaching and teaching was lousy, very lousy. On the other hand, collecting money was very intensive. After all, there I realized that if I want to know the truth in the Bible, I have to read it. Regularly, often and much. I started with Yeshua`s (Jesus`) words in the 4 gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.
The Palestine does not exist- never was or never shall be. The word Palestine is derived from the Hebrew word "peleshet". Roughly translated to mean "rolling" or "migratory" or "wandering". The term was used to describe the inhabitants of the land to the northeast of Egypt - the Philistines. The Philistines were enemies of God`s chosen people Israelites- for example Goliath.
“The Sabbath was made for man.” (Mark 2:27) Yeshua/ Jesus said this. It was “made” in the Garden of Eden before it was “written” down on Mount Sinai. The Sabbath was “made” for “man,” not just for Jews.
Thou shalt not Lent !! Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, Moundy Thursday or Lent are not mentioned in the Bible- not even once. Yeshua/ Jesus did not observe them. None of the apostles observed them.
Only a few people know that Valentine’s Day is originally a Catholic celebration. But there are even fewer individuals who know its earlier pagan roots.
Why is the beginning of our new year placed in the middle of a dead winter ?? How did the celebration of New Year’s Eve begin ?? And where did the many customs surrounding it originate ?? And also; why is the Rosh Hashana celebrated as the Jewish New Year worldwide in the fall (September- October) ?? Are they in the Bible in the “Feasts of the Lord” ??
We should live a holy life and follow the directions, instructions or teachings of the Bible because we are already saved- NOT to be saved !!
